Upload Live Audience Evaluation Postcode Data to Live Mapping

In April 2019 update, Live Audience Evaluation (LAE) postcode data can be downloaded and then uploaded on to Live Mapping. NB: You require Live Mapping Premium Subscription to upload data into Live Mapping.

 

Step 1

 

Navigate to your Campaign or Website evaluation and select the required reporting Timeframe then under "Download Data" select download your data in a .zip file. Nb: This may take some time. 

 

 

 

Step 2

 

Go into the folder where you downloaded your data (most likely the downloads folder) and right click to extract all the data. There will be up to three postcode files, one for Unique Audience (UA), one for impressions and one for Click if Campaign Evaluation. The files will be named as follows

 

"[Website Name/Campaign Name]-postcodeContent[TimeFrame]Impressions[Date].csv"

"[Website Name/Campaign Name]-postcodeContent[TimeFrame]UA[Date].csv

"[Campaign Name]-postcodeContent[TimeFrame]Clicks[Date].csv

 

Where :

  • [Website Name/Campaign Name] is the name you have given to your website or campaign in LAE
  • [TimeFrame] is All, Month, Week or Day depending on timeframe selected in LAE (NB. “All” is only available for Campaign Evaluation
  • [Date] is the start date of the reporting timeframe selected.

 

Save the required postcode file (UA, Impressions or Click) to a filename of your choice.

 

 

 

 

Step 3

 

Go into the Live Mapping and click the "Upload" button on the top left and then select insight sets. For more information on how to upload your own insight sets, see the article: How do I upload a catchment set/insight set/POI? 

 

Then do the following to upload the file you identified in Step 2.

  1. Select “Create”
  2. Give your New Insight Set a name. eg “Website UA March 2019”
  3. Under Upload options select “Upload a CSV file for Postcode and values”
  4. Drag and drop the file you identified in step 2 into the “Upload Set Information” box.
  5. Add any notes you require
  6. Select Create Insight

 

A message is displayed that your file is being processed

 

You will receive an email when your file has been processed. The email will tell you if there are any errors and the number of records processed.

 

 

Step 4

 

You will now be able to view your data. With a map open

  1. Select Postcode mode for the left hand side panel
  2. Select Profile
  3. Under insights, select “My Data” from the pulldown.
  4. From the select insight pulldown, find the Insight name you created in step 3.
  5. Select the radio button
  6. Select View Insight (The default is the top 30 percent of postcode ie. the top 3 deciles) Adjust to display more or less by checking and unchecking the boxes.
